Overview

The Asian Nuclear Physics Association (ANPhA) supports collaboration among nuclear physicists in Asia by promoting nuclear physics, its applications, and its transdisciplinary reach. A core objective of ANPhA is to promote education in Asian nuclear science through mutual exchange and coordination among scientists, actively utilizing existing research facilities. Since 2010, ANPhA has hosted annual board meetings and symposia across its member countries and regions.

The 17th ANPhA Meeting and Symposium will take place at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent, from November 1 to 6, 2026. The event will begin with the ANPhA Board Meeting for members and observers at the Hotel Le Grande Plaza on the morning of November 2. A tour of a nuclear physics-related facility is organized for the afternoon of November 2.

The ANPhA Symposium will be held at the Hotel Le Grande Plaza throughout the day on November 4 and 5. In addition to ANPhA board members and observers, we warmly invite nuclear physicists to join the symposium and share their latest research. An excursion to Samarkand, an ancient city in Uzbekistan, is planned for November 3, 2026.

Uzbekistan, officially the Republic of Uzbekistan, is located in Central Asia. It is bordered by five countries: Kazakhstan to the north, Kyrgyzstan to the northeast, Tajikistan to the southeast, Afghanistan to the south, and Turkmenistan to the southwest. With a population of more than 38.2 million, it is the most populous country in Central Asia.
