Description

Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics is constantly developing new industrial accelerators. This report is describing to a series of accelerators of the ILU type. These accelerators are successfully operating in the market for sterilization of disposable medical devices. Entering the promising food processing market requires increasing the power of accelerators and their efficiency to operate in the bremsstrahlung mode. A line of 3 accelerators with energies up to 5 MeV, up to 7.5 MeV and up to 10 MeV with an electron beam power of up to 100 kW has been developed. Ilu-14 manufactured for industrial enterprise in Vietnam and it is planned to produce an accelerator for Uzbekistan. New physical solutions for accelerators and features of the layout and conveyor systems for irradiation both in boxes and on pallets are described.
